Cinnamon Steak Tips

Believe it or not, I sometimes get lazy when it comes to cooking.

Shocked? I thought not…

One of the wonderful things about Paleo meals is their ability to be totally simple, yet delicious.

I capitalize on this simplicity at least once a week.

For example, yesterday I defrosted some steak and then stuck it in a plastic bag with some spices.

A few hours later, M grilled the steak and I steamed some broccoli (or my microwave steamed some broccoli…)

The whole meal took about 15 minutes to put together.

And it was pretty darn scrumptious.

Cinnamon Steak Tips (adapted from The Primal Palate)

2.5 to 3lbs grass-fed steak tips

1/4 cup fresh orange juice (~juice of one orange)

1 Tbsp olive oil

1 Tbsp cinnamon

1 tsp curry powder

1/2 tsp ground ginger

Sea salt & pepper

Directions: put all of the ingredients into a plastic bag and marinate for 1 to 24 hours (mine soaked for 3hrs). Then grill to your desired redness.

Then serve with your desired veggie or veggies. I was craving broccoli with butter after listening to Mark Sisson’s Paleo Summit Presentation

Simple and super yum. That’s the beauty of meat-and-veggie eating: it can be as simple or as complicated as you like, but it’s most always delicious!
